This web site was designed to introduce you to my terriers and my breeding program. I love these little dogs and will do what I can to preserve their working ability and unique character that endears them to so many. If you are unfamiliar with the breed, I hope you enjoy reading and learning about this smart and unique dog. If you are considering a Jack Russell Terrier, hopefully I have given you enough information and/or resources here to make an educated choice about adding a JRT to your life. If you have heard that this breed of dog "is not for everyone", believe it. Too many of these dogs end up in shelters and rescues because owners just weren't prepared for the time, energy, physical and mental needs that this bright and energetic dog requires. Do your research. Read anything and everything you can about these dogs. Most books currently on the market about Jack Russells, are honest about the behavior and characteristics of this dog. Reputable breeders will tell you the negative characteristics about this breed along with the many good qualities. The better informed and more honest with yourself about the work that goes into caring for this down-to-earth breed, the better off you and your Jack Russell Terrier will be. |
